When you your baby is a newborn, everyone tells you to enjoy the time, because it goes by fast. And you smile and say, ok, I will remember that, but the truth of the matter is, until your daugther is almost 5 months old and you feel like you blinked your eyes when she was a newborn, and now is 5 months do you really, truly understand!
Abby just recently had her 4 month doctor's appt. she is doing really well! She is 17lbs. 12oz. 26 inches, and doing exceptionally well in her motor skills, and is right on track developmentally. She didn't love the shots part of the appointment, but other than that her doctor appointment went really well.Abby started last week trying cereal in the mornings, she is finally getting the hang of eating, and seems to enjoy it, we are excited to see her expresions and we slowly introduce some other baby foods.
The other good news is Abby has been for the most part sleeping through the night for two weeks now! She had a little set back when her teeth where bothering her. but seems to be keeping with it, this makes Mommy & Daddy really happy.
Other than spending time with Mommy & Daddy, Abby seems to love spending time with all our family. This weekend Grandma Cheryl and Dave came up to visit, and Abby, Grandma Cheryl and I went swimming at the Sioux Valley indoor pool, Abby had a blast, she loves the water! On Sunday we visited Uncle Justin and Holly at their work (and had some yummy pancakes too!) Then we visited Grandma & Grandpa Anawski. Abby was all smiles and giggles visiting them. Then "Cool Aunt Suzie" and Jeff came over to visit, and then Sunday night Abby got to play with her cousins at the Strom's house, where they had invited us over for dinner! It was a great weekend, and Abby couldn't get enough of all the attention and fun of playing with everyone!
I know sometimes we take it for advantage, but we truly are blessed to have our family so close!
