Happy Daddy Day!

We had a fun Father's Day this year! Abby and Mommy made a special cookie cake for Daddy. Todd slept in, and we spent the day together as a family. later in the evening we got together for a picnic at the park with Todd's Dad and family - we all had a great time!

I am so blessed to have such a loving father to our beautiful girls. He works so hard to provide an amazing life for us where I am able to be home to take care of our girls. His girls love him more than words can ever express!!! And on Father's Day and always we appreciate everything he do for us!

New addition to the family

Last week we went on a road trip to Mitchell and came home with a new (new to us) van!! Todd has wanted a van since I met him, and I finally thought it might be a good idea after seeing how much time we spend in the car with the kids, and how much space we need! Todd will drive the van most days and I will still drive my vue! He hopefully will be getting rid of the Honda and the Jeep in the next week or so!

Abby was helping wash the new van!

Big girl!

After Hannah got out of the hospital, we spent the week at home just resting and getting our household healthy again! During that week Hannah got 2 teeth!!! (on the bottom) So we decided to start trying some baby cereal. She loved it! We also give her some fresh fruits in her little mesh baby food thingy (first picture below) and she LOVES it! Her favorite has been watermelon.

Where home!

Hannah was discharged from the hospital last Saturday afternoon. She still has diarrhea pretty bad, but as long as it it slows down (which it has today) and is completely done within a week we will be OK.

My Mom and Dave where here to help Saturday night which was great, since both the kids where tired and crabby (as well as Mommy and Daddy) We got a little sleep last night, and than spent the day cleaning and doing laundry trying to get rid of all the germs in the house!

We are going to lay low this week and try to keep everyone healthy!

Thank you so much to my amazing friend who took care of me while Hannah was in the hospital, and thank you for all your prayers! We couldn't have done it without you.

Updates!

Hannah seems to be doing a lot better! She has not thrown up since 5:00 pm yesterday. The doctor saw her this morning and shut off her IV. She needs to eat a few good regular nursing feedings and not throw up and than we get to go home!!! The doctor wants an update at 4:00 today, and if it's good - we get to start the process to go home! The other good news is the rotovirus test came back negative. They are saying it is an intestinal virus, that hit her hard because she is so little.

Sanford's Children's Castle Hospital is amazing! The nurses, the rooms, the food, everything is amazing. We even had a princess come visit! She was not able to come into the room to see Hannah but Abby got to see her and she was in awe! She told everyone all day that she got to see a real princess!

Abby and Hannah have missed eachother the last few days. Hannah lights up everytime Abby comes to visit.

Hannah is smiling again and playing with her toys! We are hoping for the best today. The IV is still in her head, but not hooked up anymore - we are not looking forward to taking the IV out and all the tape in her hair!!

More Arrowhead park

One of the kids favorite 'finds' was a small water area that has a bunch of frogs.
The would laugh and giggle every time a frog would pop up and check us out.

These three white ducks where the favorites of the day. They came up to us and quacked hello. Abby responded to them by singing the 'ducky song' as loud as she could "quack, quack, quack like the duuuuuckies doooooooo!" all the while best buddy Keeley watching out for her cousin yelled "Abby, back up - your too close!!!!"

Arrowhead Park

One of our favorite places to visit is Arrowhead park. Abby loves to feed the ducks, and explore all the other 'wildlife' I was watching the Strom kids all week and so we all went out to feed the ducks. There where lots of baby chicks and the kids tried really hard to make sure all the baby chicks got the bread.

There where so many geese and ducks I had the kids stand on a table to throw the bread because they where being surrounded!

Exploring the trails was lots of fun too!

More Jumpin' Jumpin'

This week before Hannah was really sick we did some fun things! We went one day to Robin's house to jump on the trampoline and Abby had triple the fun because her cousins came with to jump with her!

I am craigslist addict - chasing the impossible deal! And I found another GREAT find! I got this great jump house for Abby that was used only once for less than half what you find it for at the stores right now! Abby LOVES it!!!!! Grandma Cheryl helped me purchase it - it's another thing added to the early birthday/Christmas present list.

Princess Hannah is sick....

We thought this week Hannah was getting better, but unfortunately on Thursday she took a turn for the worse and starting puking again. She also started getting really lethargic, and was really not feeling well, so i took her into Acute care. At acute care they took her blood levels and evaluated her and than immediately admitted us to the hospital.

The hardest part of the night was the IV for Hannah - because she is so little, and was slightly dehydrated they had a hard time finding a vain. It took them over an hour and they poked her feet, hands and her head several times before the finally got it. Over night she didn't do to bad, but this morning she was still throwing up. She has seemed to perk up a bit though after having fluids through the IV all night.

Please say a prayer for Hannah for a quick recovery!

Sick baby

Yesterday afternoon Abby was complaining of a stomach ache. This last week off and on she has not felt well. I loaded up Hannah and Abby and headed to Hy-Vee to get some 7-up for Abby's tummy ache. Before I even got a block away Hannah started throwing up. She than continued to throw up several more times before we even got home, and continued to get sick all night long and every time she tried to eat. This morning we tried pedilyte and she didn't keep that down either. We are hoping she starts to feel better soon, please pray our little Hannah gets well soon!

Abby seems to feel better, so hopefully things are looking up!

God's Little Gift...

Her shirt says it all! Every night I thank God for the two beautiful girls he gave me!
