Abby first time at the park

There is no feeling like the feeling in South Dakota when we have our first few nice, warm days. Everyone is outside, walking their dogs, playing ball, working on their yards, no one is inside!
Every day it was nice out, Todd and I took Abby for a walk, and she loved being outside. Tiffani and I also took Abby to the park for her first time. She really liked the swings, and really had fun just checking out this new fun experience. Everything was new to her, and she had a blast, as did Tiffani and I!

4 1/2 months and counting!

When you your baby is a newborn, everyone tells you to enjoy the time, because it goes by fast. And you smile and say, ok, I will remember that, but the truth of the matter is, until your daugther is almost 5 months old and you feel like you blinked your eyes when she was a newborn, and now is 5 months do you really, truly understand!

Abby just recently had her 4 month doctor's appt. she is doing really well! She is 17lbs. 12oz. 26 inches, and doing exceptionally well in her motor skills, and is right on track developmentally. She didn't love the shots part of the appointment, but other than that her doctor appointment went really well.Abby started last week trying cereal in the mornings, she is finally getting the hang of eating, and seems to enjoy it, we are excited to see her expresions and we slowly introduce some other baby foods.

The other good news is Abby has been for the most part sleeping through the night for two weeks now! She had a little set back when her teeth where bothering her. but seems to be keeping with it, this makes Mommy & Daddy really happy.

Other than spending time with Mommy & Daddy, Abby seems to love spending time with all our family. This weekend Grandma Cheryl and Dave came up to visit, and Abby, Grandma Cheryl and I went swimming at the Sioux Valley indoor pool, Abby had a blast, she loves the water! On Sunday we visited Uncle Justin and Holly at their work (and had some yummy pancakes too!) Then we visited Grandma & Grandpa Anawski. Abby was all smiles and giggles visiting them. Then "Cool Aunt Suzie" and Jeff came over to visit, and then Sunday night Abby got to play with her cousins at the Strom's house, where they had invited us over for dinner! It was a great weekend, and Abby couldn't get enough of all the attention and fun of playing with everyone!

I know sometimes we take it for advantage, but we truly are blessed to have our family so close!

I can't resist...

Of course...I can't resist to post some new pictures of our little peanut! She is getting so big, and every day we are amazed at how much she has grown and what she is learning. March 8th (tomorrow) she will be 4 months old! It's already hard to remember her when she was a little newborn baby!

Her last doctors appt. she was 16.5 lbs. and 24 inches! She is growing like a weed! She loves to play and grab at all her toys, but her favorite of all is listening to us read stories. Of course, she also loves to talk and talk to anyone who will listen to her babble (wonder who she gets that from?!?)

A big surprise was the end of February - when Abby was just three months - she got her first tooth and then another! Abby has her two front bottom teeth already in! We like to sing to her "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" lol

Abby is adjusting really well to Mommy working a couple days a week, and she gets excited when I drop her off to play with Becky and Jadon.

Things are going well, and Abby is doing wonderful! She makes every day worthwhile, and we never quite feel worthy to be part of her life.

Todd's New Job!!!

In February Todd accepted a position at the Home Builders of the Sioux Empire. It was an amazing opportunity he couldn't pass up!

Todd has enjoyed meeting with our city's top governmental officials including the planning director, public works director, city attorney, city council members and mayor. He's already serving on the city's infrastructure finance committee and is reviewing the new east side corridor high speed roadway, SD Hwy 100. As the Sioux Falls metro area expands, Todd will keep us informed of all those new develpments and stores coming to Sioux Falls!

Check out what the Home Builders is about at www.hbasiouxempire.com. We are so proud of Todd and his new position!

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day - February 2007
This year Valentines Day was celebrated at home with friends. Robin, Racheal and Ben came over and Robin cooked a yummy dinner of pork chops and mashed potatoes. We had lots of fun celebrating the ones we love this year - especially now sharing our love with Abby!
