Spring "tease"

We had a few days last week that teased us with thoughts of spring! It was 50 degrees and everyone was outside! Only in South Dakota can you see people out in shorts picking at snow/ice chunks in their driveways. We spent as much time as possible outside these days, and Abby loved every minute of it.

Abby got the 'Animal Train" from Grandma for Christmas. She LOVES it!!! I am not sure who loves it more though - Abby or Mommy who enjoys finding her all the new animals that come out!

Abigail Updates!

These last few months have not been the most fun for Abby! She has been sick a lot - after getting over RSV - she ended up with pneumonia and just when she was almost over that she had a stomach bug!!! We are hoping that spring will be here soon, and we will all start feeling better!

Abby had her 15 month old appointment - and she was doing well (besides all the recent illness!) She is 24.8 lbs. and is pretty tall - she is in the 90% for her height and 75% for her weight. She is doing very well developmentally. She talks all the time, and is even starting to put a few words together. Her favorite things are still her books and her babies. And you won't see her very often without her "ney-ney" which is what she calls her pink blankie! She is happy and for the most part healthy - and we are having lots of fun as she enters the toddler phase of her life!

This week abby had her first appointment with the Allergy and Asthma doctor. They did some testing to finally find out once and for all if Abby has allergies and what exactly too. We ended up with good news and bad news. Good news is she at this time has no allergies!! whooo-hooo! The bad news is, she does have infant asthma. We will have to nebulizer treatments to help her lung strength and hopefully this will help her from getting sick all the time! And the good news is most of the time they grow out of this asthma! So we are happy to finally have some answers to her constant upper respitory problems!

Superbowl!!!

We had lots of fun watching the Superbowl at Grandma & Dave's house! Abby wasn't really excited about either team playing - so she wore her Vikings outfit Uncle Justin gaver her. We all had lots of fun, eating lots of junk food, watching the game, and staying up late!!

Reunited!!!

Abby has been on and off sick for the last two weeks, so when Abby and Amalee finally got to play together again, they where super excited!!!

This last few weeks have been challenging for us! Just when we thought Abby was all better from the RSV and was doing well - the next week she got really sick with a bad cold again....her lungs where really bad and she had to have chest x-rays again, and they did not look good. She ended up in the doctors office and on several meds and nebulizer again. She had a rough week as did Mommy (Mommy got a cold also this time!).

This week we are proud to annouce the Anawski household is on day 4 of being SNOT FREE!!! So we are hoping it continues! We have made an appointment for Abby to see an allergy specialist, as we are concerned some of these problems are coming from allergies and not just getting sick, so keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we see the allergist in a few weeks!

Abby Updates..

Our little Abby is getting so big! At her one year appointment she was 24 lbs!!! She is developmentally doing awesome -she says TONS of words, her newest being - Love you (wuv u), please (cheese), apple, milk and just this week she started saying a hard one - her friends name - Amalee (she says it amaee).

Early this month she wasn't feeling well and we took her in to the pediatrician. It ended up she had RSV. It was a rough few weeks, but she is doing MUCH better now, and is feeling great! After some testing we also found out right now she does for sure have a milk allergy -but as long as she has soy milk, she does fine!

We also started out the year busy - still involved in MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) and I also joined a bible study on Tuesday mornings. We also have our Mommy's group who gets together at the mall once a week. Abby also likes to at least spend one day a week playing with Amalee.

That's all the Abby updates we have right now! Our little girl is growing up and every day we are amazed at something new she can do or say!

This is the silly face Abby has been making lately!! It's so cute!!! I told her to make her silly face for the camera and she did it right away! Wonder where she gets her goofy personality from?!?!

we have been working on using plates and utensils with Abby lately...just thought I would share a picture on well she is doing with this!! She tries really hard - but she is still really good at making a mess with spaghetti!!

My new baby....

This month we got a new vehicle!!!! (new to us anyways!) We got a 2003 Saturn Vue - and I LOVE it!!! It's has so much room than the Camry and it's so exciting to have a CD player in my vehicle and to be able to remote unlock the doors, I love it!

It's been soooooooooooooo cold here lately! Temps have been below zero at night! To keep warm Abby is always in her fleece "footy" jammies! She looked so cute in these ones we had to snap a picture!

Happy New Year!!

We had a New Years party at our house again this year, and had a blast ringing in the new year with friends and family. The kids and adults had a great time!!!

As we say goodbye to 2007 and start 2008 we feel so blessed to have such a beautiful daughter, wonderful family and awesome friends!!
